I have been one of Robin's fitness clients for almost a year now. Funny thing is that she has NO IDEA who I am, nor have we ever met, even though I am a public figure. How is this possible you say? I ride with her nearly everyday in my home studio via Peleton live streaming—The best thing since gluten-free sliced bread!Robin is an interesting character. She is absolutely brilliant but often hides it behind tough street language and culture. Why? Because I believe her master plan is to rule the fitness world one day, and she knows that she has something different to offer. She is a former attorney who 1) Left her lucrative career to pursue fitness full time 2) Survived a hostage crisis in NYC 3) Lives with Type 1 Diabetes 4) Runs 100 mile marathons after teaching 3 spin classes in a day and 5) Has the worst curse language you have ever heard. It's so bad, Merriam Webster is effin rolling in his grave.BUT TRUST ME . . . IT ALL WORKS!Her brand of motivation is fantastic and unlike any other fitness professional out there. She is raw, powerful and unapologetic—like a Marine Boot Camp instructor in a Hip Hop World War. She even has us do things in class like take oaths to promise we will "Never Be a Basic B*tch," And to top it all off, she looks a lot like Jennifer Lopez, though I doubt she would ever admit to that.I am a full-time novelist, which means I get paid to sit on my rump all day, so fitness is essential to my well-being. I have never run before so this book was perfect for me. The tips, pictures and motivational quotes are enjoyable— a perfect summer read.I am ready to try it and if anyone can get my mutha-effin sweet ass moving, it's Robin Arzon.

Talk about motivation. I used to be an avid runner in college and my early 20's. Once I hit my mid-twenties I became burned out on running and started only weight lifting. About a year ago, I felt like something was missing in my routine. I felt sluggish most days, bored at the gym, and missed the feeling of pushing myself to my limits. I realized I missed running. I signed up for a couple races and ordered this book to motivate myself to lace up my running shoes. Let me tell you, this book is what I needed to light a fire under my rear. From the first page, I felt myself sit up straighter and wanted to head outside for a run right then. Even though I was familiar with a lot of the information in this book (getting the right running shoes, don't increase mileage by more than 10% each week, etc.) I still was never bored reading this. There was still so much new information and motivational exercises throughout. Some pages were just motivational quotes in big block letters, some pages had you write down your goals, your vision, etc. This book has brought my love of running back to life. I keep it by my bed and flip to random pages/quotes every now and then to realize how much I love the sport of running. So shut up, and order this book.

I've been a runner most of my life. For various reasons, from time to time, I've fallen off. I'm just getting started again and this book was just what I needed to find the motivation, the drive, and the info to get me back out there on the trail. More than just a vague running guide, this book has DETAILED running plans to get you where you need to be. And unlike lots of other running plans I've seen over the years, these are actually attainable, even if you work for a living, having kids, and a million other adult responsibilities! Get yourself a copy and lace up!

I like the visuals and the message the author is trying to convey, but unfortunately this was nothing like I thought it would be.There's nothing in this book that you can't find on Pinterest--way too many cheesy inspirational quotes and not enough content about actual running, techniques, etc. The training plans were very cookie-cutter and you can definitely find better online... for free.Robin's story is inspiring and I can appreciate what she was trying to do, but for me it fell flat. There were a LOT of spelling mistakes that should not have made it to the final print, which hurt its credibility.If you are a beginner who is looking for something to help ease into running and motivate yourself a little, this book could be for you. For me, this lacked substance and didn't expose me to anything I didn't already know.Save your money!

I've read this book twice. The first time was a blind recommendation from a running buddy, before I knew what One Peloton was. The second was after I started using the Peloton Outdoor app and started running "with" Robin. I have also since purchased the bike and ride everyday. After running for 7+ years and 20 Half Marathons, I needed New inspiration and wanted to experiment with the most effective cross training I could find. I also just turned 50 and feared that piling on endless miles was eventually going to break my body down; even though I have been virtually injury free. I get what Robin is about and now have a better understanding of how I need to be if I want to reach all of my life goals. You can buy this book and look at the cover everyday and just that would be effective for some. But if you want to change your life and great tips on the things you need to do to make it happen, read this book. It is great for all levels of runners and has some great reminders for even the most experienced athletes. Oh yeah, and Born to Run is also a MUST!

I thought this was going to be a book about running; training plans, mobility exercises; eating for activity with a dose of inspiration. It's not really any of that, I sent it back. If you're looking for some motivation to tie up your sneakers this is it but if you're looking for some real advice to advance your running mojo look elsewhere.

This is an amazing book for all run enthusiasts! At first I wanted to buy it to get more info about training but when I started reading it,wow! What an amazing story of survival! How one event can change the perspective of your life! It's great!
